Amine El Ouazzani did not take long to make an impact in his new colors. The Moroccan forward scored his first goal with Angers SCO on Saturday during the friendly match lost against Le Mans FC (3-1).
Coming on after an hour of play, the former SC Braga player reduced the deficit in the 71st minute. Following a collective move from Angers, El Ouazzani placed a beautiful curled shot to deceive the opposing goalkeeper and temporarily bring the SCO back to 2-1.
The Moroccan could have also provided an assist moments later. He perfectly set up his teammate Rayan Jlidi, who, however, failed to convert this opportunity. Le Mans ultimately scored a third goal at the end of the match to seal the victory.
Loaned to Angers by SC Braga this summer, Amine El Ouazzani is thus starting his preparation on a positive note. After a more challenging 2025-2026 season in Portugal, the 25-year-old player will aim to regain consistency and playing time with the Angers club in the upcoming season.
