The adventure of Zakaria Ouazane at Ajax Amsterdam could come to an end sooner than expected. According to information from VoetbalPrimeur, the Dutch club and the Moroccan midfielder are currently discussing a mutual contract termination.
A few months ago, Zakaria Ouazane was mentioned, alongside his younger brother Abdellah Ouazane, among the young talents likely to join Real Madrid. This transfer ultimately did not materialize, and Ajax chose to extend his contract. However, this collaboration has not met expectations, and a departure now seems imminent.
Under contract with the Amsterdam club until June 2027, the player could soon become a free agent. Still according to VoetbalPrimeur, FC Twente is closely monitoring the situation and hopes to take advantage of it to recruit the young Moroccan international. Before the Real Madrid episode, AZ Alkmaar had already shown significant interest in his profile.
Trained at Ajax, Zakaria Ouazane progressed through the various youth categories before making his professional debut with Jong Ajax. He played 13 matches there, scoring one goal. A Moroccan international at the youth level, he now hopes to revive his career in an environment where he will benefit from more playing time.
Meanwhile, his brother Abdellah Ouazane continues to make headlines with the Ajax first team, where he recently stood out during the summer preparation, confirming his status as one of the greatest hopes of Moroccan football.
