Adam Aznou could return to the Spanish league in the final days of the transfer window. The Moroccan international full-back is reportedly close to joining Málaga on loan for the 2026-2027 season.
The Andalusian club, recently promoted to La Liga, is working on bringing in the 20-year-old player to strengthen their left flank. Discussions are said to be well advanced regarding a loan from Everton, where Aznou is currently under contract.
This move would primarily allow the Lion of the Atlas to benefit from more playing time. Málaga hopes to assign him a significant role this season as the club prepares to fight for its survival in the Spanish top flight.
For Aznou, this would also mark a return to La Liga. The Moroccan is already familiar with the league, having been loaned to Real Valladolid during the 2024-2025 season, an experience during which he was able to experience Spanish football at the highest level.
At this stage, the loan has not yet been officially confirmed by Everton or Málaga, and no purchase option has been announced. However, discussions seem advanced enough to consider a swift resolution before the transfer window closes.
A temporary departure could thus allow Adam Aznou to accumulate match experience and continue his development in a league he already knows well.
