Couhaib Driouech played his first official minutes for Celta Vigo on Thursday night during the goalless draw against Real Sociedad. Starting on the bench, the Moroccan winger came on in the 69th minute, replacing Ferran Jutglà, in this early match of the 6th round of La Liga.
In his first appearance with the Galician side, Driouech immediately got playing time. Claudio Giráldez had announced before the trip to Anoeta that his new signing could make his debut. This appearance comes just days after his arrival from PSV Eindhoven, following a summer notably marked by the failure of his transfer to Rangers.
The Moroccan brought energy and liveliness to the attacking sector, although he was unable to unlock the match. According to FotMob data provided by Opta, he completed 12 of his 16 passes, succeeded in his only dribble, and made six defensive actions. His commitment also earned him a yellow card in the 79th minute after a foul on Mikel Oyarzabal.
Both teams tried to snatch victory in the final minutes, but neither managed to find the net. Still without success after four league matches, Celta will travel to Getafe on Monday. Driouech will aim to take advantage of this upcoming match to continue his integration and gain more playing time.
