Ayyoub Bouaddi has taken a new step towards Manchester City. According to information published on Monday, August 10, by Fabrizio Romano, the Moroccan international midfielder and his entourage have reached an agreement with the English club on the personal terms of his future contract.
Manchester City must now finalize negotiations with Lille. Discussions between the two clubs are reportedly well advanced, although no definitive agreement has been announced yet. The player’s willingness could facilitate the completion of the deal, as Bouaddi prefers an immediate move to England.
LOSC has considered a formula that would allow them to keep their young midfielder for the 2026-2027 season. However, the Atlas Lion would prefer to join the Manchester squad directly rather than wait until the summer of 2027 or be loaned back to Lille for another year.
At just 18 years old, Bouaddi has established himself as one of the most promising midfielders of his generation. His technical skills, maturity, and performances with Lille as well as the Moroccan national team have attracted several top European clubs.
