Youssef-En-Nesyri silent and defeated at home by Rangers

Moroccan players were numerous on this Europa League matchday, and two of our strikers were involved in this encounter.

Youssef En-Nesyri’s Fenerbahçe faced Glasgow Rangers and Hamza Igamane. Unfortunately, the latter only played a few minutes at the very end of the match, having lost playing time since the departure of Belgian coach Philippe Clement.

On the other hand, En-Nesyri is currently in great form and putting together strong performances. However, it was the Scottish side that quickly took the lead through their striker of the night, who opened the scoring in the 6th minute. Despite a Turkish equalizer, the match soon turned in favor of the Rangers, with the Turkish attack struggling and unable to create real danger.

On the Fenerbahçe side, the other Atlas Lion, Sofyan Amrabat, delivered a solid performance, playing in his preferred role as a defensive midfielder. However, it was not enough to avoid a home defeat. The Turkish team will now have to travel to Glasgow next week, needing to overturn a two-goal deficit.
