Younes Ebnoutalib provided an assist in the 6th minute during Eintracht Frankfurt’s defeat to Augsburg (1-4) this Sunday, in the second round of the Bundesliga. Starting alongside Jonathan Burkardt, the Moroccan-German forward played the entire match.
Served by Can Uzun on the left side, Ebnoutalib cut in on his right foot before delivering a precise cross to Burkardt. The German striker outjumped his defender to head the ball and open the scoring. Five minutes later, Ebnoutalib also created an excellent opportunity for Uzun, who was denied by Finn Dahmen.
Very active during the first half, the 22-year-old player had two more chances before the break. He first attempted to chip the opposing goalkeeper in the 37th minute, before narrowly missing the target three minutes later. However, Frankfurt completely collapsed after the break, conceding four goals from Arijon Ibrahimović (46th), Robin Fellhauer (47th), Alexis Claude-Maurice (65th), and Fabian Rieder (89th).
Rated 7.6 by FotMob, Ebnoutalib now has three goals and one assist after just two rounds of the Bundesliga. Having already scored a hat-trick against Union Berlin in the first round, he has a total of four decisive actions since the start of the championship.
