Yassine Bounou has been named the best goalkeeper of the Saudi Pro League for the month of August. This award recognizes the excellent start to the season achieved by the Moroccan international under the colors of Al-Hilal.
Starting in all four of the championship’s opening matches, the Atlas Lions goalkeeper played the full 360 minutes. He conceded only three goals and kept his net clean on two occasions, against Al-Fayha and Al-Ahli.
Bounou has thus significantly contributed to Al-Hilal’s perfect run, winning all four of their opening matches. The Riyadh club has notably scored 15 goals and taken the lead in the standings thanks to a better goal difference than Al-Nassr.
This new accolade confirms the consistency and importance of the Moroccan goalkeeper in Al-Hilal’s setup, which already has great ambitions for the 2026-2027 season.
