Adam Masina could return to Watford four years after his departure. According to information from Gianluca Di Marzio, the English club has initiated talks regarding the return of the Moroccan international defender, who is currently a free agent.
At this stage, no agreement has yet been announced between the parties involved. However, Watford is considering the possibility of bringing back a player who knows the club well. Arriving from Bologna in 2018, Masina wore the Hornets’ colors until 2022, both in the Premier League and the Championship.
The 32-year-old player has been without a club since the amicable termination of his contract with Torino, which was officially announced on February 2. The Italian club specified that the Moroccan left Turin after making 51 appearances and scoring one goal.
Masina’s last appearance dates back to January 18, during the AFCON final between Morocco and Senegal. As a starter, the defender had to leave the field due to injury in the 89th minute. A return to Watford could now allow him to revive his career after several months without competition.
