Talbi and his decision according to his father

Chemsdine Talbi’s father provided some insight into his son’s future decision.

The father of the Club Brugge player explains that his son has not been called up to the national team since the U19s, and this without any real explanation.

“Chems refuses to return to the national team; there are things that happened that caused a break. During his rehabilitation after his ACL injury, the Belgian federation never called him once.”

“Simply checking in on him is the least they could have done, right? I find it really sad. Chems wants to feel respected. The fact that no one from the Belgian federation cared about him during his injury broke something in him.”

All of this points toward a clear decision in favor of Morocco, which has shown interest in the young Moroccan-Belgian player for some time now and could bring him back as early as this March.
