Ismaïl Saibari participated in Bayern Munich’s victory against Heidenheim (4-2) on Tuesday, during the club’s final preparation match. Three days after his convincing debut against RB Leipzig, which included an assist, the Moroccan international played an additional 26 minutes.
Saibari came on in the 34th minute for Wisdom Mike, with the two teams tied at 1-1. Used in an offensive role, the Moroccan midfielder quickly attempted a shot from outside the box, but his strike was blocked. Bayern then conceded a second goal just before halftime, before equalizing with a penalty from Arijon Ibrahimović in the 47th minute.
At the hour mark, Vincent Kompany made seven simultaneous substitutions, including the introductions of Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Díaz, and Jamal Musiala, the latter replacing Saibari. His exit was part of the extensive rotation planned by the Bavarian coach, and no physical issues were reported concerning the Lion of the Atlas. Recently returned from a muscle injury, he continues to gradually regain his full fitness. Bayern confirmed this management of playing time.
After goals from Yannik Wagner (5th), Felipe Chávez (25th), Julian Niehues (44th), and Ibrahimović (47th), Luis Díaz (78th) and Nathaniel Brown (83rd) secured the victory for Bayern. Saibari could now make his official debut on Saturday against Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup.
