Ismael Saibari enjoyed his first goal in the colors of Bayern Munich after the resounding victory achieved on Friday against Union Berlin (7-0). Coming on in the 63rd minute, the Moroccan international needed just seven minutes to open his account, before reacting this Saturday on his social media and in an interview with the DFL.
“Good performance before joining the national team!” Saibari first wrote on his Instagram account. The Atlas Lion did not hide his satisfaction after scoring for the first time in his new club and at the Allianz Arena: “I am happy to have scored my first goal with this club and in this stadium, and others will follow.”
Saibari also spoke to the DFL after the match. The Moroccan reflected on this first goal in the Bundesliga and expressed his admiration for his new teammates. He notably described Harry Kane as “the best striker in the world,” while also praising Michael Olise, who scored a hat-trick against Union Berlin.
The Moroccan midfielder made it 5-0 in the 70th minute after being set up by Alphonso Davies. Saibari turned against his opponent before accelerating towards the box, evading several defenders, and finishing with his left foot. Bayern ultimately won 7-0.
This first goal confirms Saibari’s gradual integration into the Bavarian squad. After opening his account, the Moroccan will now join the Lions of the Atlas with the ambition to continue this momentum.
