Reda Belahyane played the entire match between Lazio and AC Milan this Saturday during the 4th round of Serie A. Starting in the Roman midfield, the Moroccan international contributed to the spectacular draw achieved by his team at the Stadio Olimpico (2-2).
Lazio had started the match perfectly. Matteo Cancellieri opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Tijjani Noslin allowed the Romans to head into the locker room with a two-goal lead (39th). However, AC Milan completely revived the match after the break thanks to Diego Moreira, who scored a quick double in the 65th and 67th minutes.
Positioned at the heart of the midfield, Belahyane delivered a solid performance in a match where Milan significantly increased the pressure in the second half. The Moroccan notably touched the ball 37 times and made five defensive interventions, while also contributing to ball recovery and maintaining the balance of the Roman block. He remained on the pitch until the final whistle.
This starting position against an opponent of AC Milan’s caliber also represents a new positive signal for Belahyane. After having to fight for more playing time last season, the Moroccan midfielder now seems to occupy a more significant role in Lazio’s plans at the start of the 2026-2027 season.
