As part of the 13th round of the UAE Pro League, Al Ain hosted Al Nasr in a match largely dominated by the home team, who secured a convincing 4-1 victory at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.
Starting the game, Moroccan international Sofiane Rahimi was one of the key contributors to Al Ain’s success. The Atlas Lion scored a brace, netting his team’s second goal in the 24th minute, before providing an assist to Mohamed Awad Alla Hassan Ibrahim in the 72nd minute and sealing the score with a fourth goal in the 76th minute. With this impressive performance, Rahimi has now tallied 6 goals and 3 assists in the league this season.
Meanwhile, Al Nasr’s player Adel Taarabt was absent from the matchday squad. According to Emirati media, tensions with the club’s management are believed to be the reason behind his absence, with reports also suggesting that he missed a recent training session.
