PSV Eindhoven has officially announced the arrival of Sami Ouaissa from NEC Nijmegen. The Dutch player of Moroccan descent will wear the number 11, which was left vacant by Couhaib Driouech after his transfer to Celta Vigo.
At 21 years old, Ouaissa has signed a five-season contract with the Dutch champions, lasting until June 2031. PSV has not disclosed the amount of the transfer, but it is estimated to be around nine million euros by the Dutch press.
Capable of playing as a right winger or attacking midfielder, PSV’s new number 11 comes off two impressive seasons with NEC. He played 76 official matches there, scoring 15 goals and providing nine assists.
Ouaissa also explained that joining PSV represents a childhood dream. The native of Sittard used to attend the club’s training sessions wearing a red and white scarf when he was younger. He now aims to win several trophies in his new colors.
