Amir Bouhamdi stood out this Sunday during PSV Eindhoven’s convincing victory over FC Utrecht (6-1) in the fourth round of the Eredivisie. The 18-year-old Moroccan winger started the match on the bench before replacing Ruben van Bommel in the 78th minute.
The young player waited ten minutes to make his mark. In the 88th minute, he set up Guus Til for PSV’s fifth goal. Bouhamdi repeated the feat in the 90th+3 minute by providing another assist to Sergiño Dest, who scored the final goal of the match. His two assists were therefore made within just five minutes of each other.
After going behind in the 6th minute following Artem Stepanov’s opening goal, PSV quickly equalized thanks to Ruben van Bommel before taking the lead just before halftime. Peter Bosz’s players then significantly widened the gap during the last half hour.
With this particularly successful appearance, Bouhamdi continues his integration into PSV’s first team. The Eindhoven club now has ten points after four rounds of the championship, while the young Moroccan confirms his ability to make the most of the playing time he is given.
