Panathinaikos: Ounahi called up against PAOK

Azzedine Ounahi could return to competition as early as this Sunday. The Moroccan international midfielder is included in the 23-player squad selected by Jacob Neestrup to face PAOK at 9:30 PM during the third round of the Greek championship. He could thus play his first minutes since his permanent return to Panathinaikos.

This call-up comes just two days after his first training session with the team. On Friday, the Atlas Lion participated fully in the program at the “G. Kalafatis” training center, without encountering any particular difficulties.

His presence in the squad indicates that the coaching staff already considers him fit to participate in this first major match of the season. Given his recent arrival, however, Ounahi may start on the bench before coming on during the match.

Already familiar with the club and its environment, the Moroccan seems to be integrating quickly. It remains to be seen whether Jacob Neestrup will grant him playing time against PAOK in a highly anticipated match at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
