Feyenoord quickly reacted to reports suggesting a possible breakup with Oussama Targhalline. According to De Telegraaf, the Dutch club contests the scenario mentioned Wednesday evening by ESPN and insists on wanting to keep their Moroccan international midfielder.
ESPN claimed that negotiations for an extension had been halted due to the player’s dissatisfaction with the proposal received. Targhalline, who has been used less since the start of the season, was reportedly beginning to consider a departure before the transfer window closed.
This version has been firmly challenged by Feyenoord. The Rotterdam leaders reportedly received this information with surprise and claim not to know where it originated. Discussions with the Moroccan are said to still be ongoing in order to extend and improve his current contract.
Linked to Feyenoord until June 2028, Targhalline remains considered an important part of the squad despite his limited playing time in the early matches. The club therefore wishes to continue their collaboration and does not plan, at this stage, to part ways with the Atlas Lion.
