Oussama Targhalline took advantage of his first start in the Eredivisie this season to make a decisive impact. Starting on Sunday with Feyenoord against ADO Den Haag, the Moroccan international midfielder provided an assist during his team’s 2-2 draw at De Kuip.
Trailing 2-0 after goals from Nigel Thomas and Sékou Sylla, Feyenoord reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute. Targhalline found Ayase Ueda with a through ball, allowing the Japanese striker to get the Rotterdam team back in the game. The Moroccan was then substituted in the 65th minute for Shaqueel van Persie.
Anis Hadj Moussa ultimately equalized in the 72nd minute, but Feyenoord could not find the winning goal. The Dutch club thus recorded its second draw of the season after four matchdays.
Preferred over Charles Vanhoutte in the defensive midfield position, Targhalline made a strong impression in his first appearance in the starting eleven. In the first three matchdays, the former Havre player had only played 28 minutes, spread across his appearances against Sparta Rotterdam and Cambuur.
