Azzedine Ounahi stood out this Sunday with Panathinaikos against Panetolikos during the 4th round of the Greek Super League. Starting the match, the Moroccan international found the back of the net, allowing his team to take the lead in this encounter.
Very active in midfield, the Atlas Lion rewarded his performance by scoring the second goal for Panathinaikos, confirming his rise in form since returning to Athens. This goal is significant for Ounahi, as it marks his first of the season in the colors of the Greek club.
However, the Moroccan midfielder did not play the entire match. After starting the game, he was eventually substituted in the second half, leaving the pitch after having fully contributed to his team’s advantage.
Having returned permanently to Panathinaikos at the beginning of September after his stint at Girona, Ounahi quickly finds his footing in a club he knows well. He had already played under the Greens’ jersey during the 2024-2025 season, and his return is one of the significant moves of the Athens club’s transfer window.
With this first goal since his return, Ounahi also sends a positive signal just weeks ahead of the upcoming fixtures for the Lions of the Atlas.
