Abdellah Ouazane has no doubt about his international future. When asked about the country he wishes to represent, the young midfielder from Ajax Amsterdam confirmed that his decision in favor of Morocco has already been made.
“I have already made my choice. I have played for the Moroccan national team since I was under 15, and my ambition is to reach the senior national team,” said the 17-year-old player.
Born in Amsterdam, Ouazane has also made a few appearances with the Netherlands’ under-15 team. However, he continued his international journey with Morocco, notably participating in the victory of the Lionceaux de l’Atlas during the 2025 U17 AFCON, where he was named the best player.
Now established in Ajax’s professional squad, the Moroccan continues to progress. After providing two assists on Thursday against FC Sion (5-3) in the Conference League, he clearly states his next big goal: to convince the national coach and one day join the Lions of the Atlas.
