Naoufal Bannis continues his excellent start to the season with Vitesse. Starting at the forefront of the attack, the Moroccan scored a brace and provided an assist during the victory achieved this Friday on the pitch of FC Den Bosch (1-4), in the fourth round of the Eerste Divisie.
Bannis opened the scoring in the 29th minute with a pass from goalkeeper Connor van den Berg. Four minutes later, he set up Filipe Ferreira for Vitesse’s second goal, before completing his brace in the 35th minute, this time with an assist from Ferreira. The forward was directly involved in three goals in just six minutes.
Vitesse then extended their lead to 4-0 thanks to an own goal from Pepijn van de Merbel in the 72nd minute. Bannis was substituted for Eduard Probst four minutes later, while Lorenzo Hoffman salvaged a goal for Den Bosch in the 84th minute.
Having already scored a brace against FC Utrecht’s reserve team on August 17, Naoufal Bannis now totals five goals and one assist in four league matches. This is a particularly successful start for the 24-year-old forward.
