Present at a press conference before the match against Haiti, which is part of the third day of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, Munir El Kajoui expressed the determination of the Moroccan team. The goalkeeper of the Atlas Lions emphasized the mindset that drives the national team, which is still in the running to finish at the top of its group.

“We know very well what we want to achieve at the World Cup. We want to give our best and make our supporters proud,” said the Moroccan goalkeeper, highlighting the collective ambition of a group that approaches this match with seriousness. Facing a Haitian team seeking its first points, the Atlas Lions know they must remain focused to reach their goal.

Munir El Kajoui also highlighted the cohesion within the team. “The group is in very good shape. It has an excellent mindset and great unity,” he confided. A strong message as they approach an important appointment, where Morocco must confirm the good impressions left since the beginning of the competition.

The RS Berkane goalkeeper also discussed the importance of continuing to progress collectively. “This match will help us get to know each other better and continue to advance together,” he added. This statement reflects the desire of the staff and players to build a solid dynamic, beyond just the result.

Finally, Munir El Kajoui reminded that the entire group is ready for this challenge. “All the players are well prepared. We have prepared in the best possible way with the technical staff. We all want to give our best and make our supporters proud of us,” he asserted.

When asked about Achraf Hakimi, Munir El Kajoui expressed the full support of the locker room for the Moroccan full-back. “We all support Achraf Hakimi and we are behind him,” he stated, confirming the unity of the group around one of its key players.

After the draw against Brazil, Morocco left the pitch with mixed feelings of frustration and pride. Munir El Kajoui notably praised the exceptional support of Moroccan fans, whom he considers an essential element of the strength of the Atlas Lions. Before facing Haiti, his message remains the same: stay united, move forward together, and give everything to represent Morocco with dignity.
