Free from any contract since the end of his adventure with Fiorentina, Abdelhamid Sabiri has found a new destination. The Moroccan international attacking midfielder has signed with Turkish club Eyüpspor, a team in the Süper Lig, where he will attempt to revive his career after several successive loans in the Gulf.
At 29 years old, the Atlas Lion returns to a European league with the ambition of regaining his best form. He made his mark in Serie A with Sampdoria before joining Fiorentina in 2023, after which he was loaned successively to Al-Fayha, Ajman, and Al Taawoun. Having reached the end of his contract with the Florentine club this summer, he was free to sign wherever he wished.
Eyüpspor, looking to strengthen its attacking line before the start of the new season, is counting on the experience and technical skills of the Moroccan international. With an excellent shot and great versatility in midfield, Sabiri hopes to find consistency and revive his career in a league known for its intensity.
This new challenge could also allow him to return to the radar of the Moroccan national team. Absent from recent rosters, Abdelhamid Sabiri is eager to deliver strong performances in Turkey to convince coach Mohamed Ouahbi to give him another opportunity to wear the Lions of the Atlas jersey.
