Athletic Bilbao handed a heavy defeat to their visitors, Real Valladolid, with a commanding 7-1 victory. Among the scorers was Moroccan midfielder Maroan Sannadi, who netted his very first goal in La Liga.
Sannadi, who has been delivering strong performances since joining Bilbao, made his mark not only in playmaking—creating numerous chances—but also with his presence in the opponent’s box. His efforts were rewarded in the 43rd minute when he scored his team’s third goal following an assist from Yuri.
The talented 24-year-old midfielder also caused problems for Valladolid’s defense. In the 63rd minute, he set up a great opportunity for Mikel Vesga, but the opposing goalkeeper denied the attempt. Just a minute later, Sannadi was substituted for Gorka Guruzeta.
On the Valladolid side, Selim Amallah and Anuar Tuhami were absent due to suspension, while Adam Aznou remained on the bench. Thanks to this victory, Athletic Bilbao climbs to 4th place with 48 points after 25 matches, while Valladolid, still bottom of the table with 15 points, faces an increasingly difficult situation.
