Youssef En-Nesyri played a decisive role in Al-Ittihad’s victory over Al-Fayha (2-1) this Tuesday during the 6th round of the Saudi Pro League. Coming on in the 62nd minute, the Moroccan striker converted the winning penalty six minutes later.
Al-Ittihad opened the scoring with George Ilenikhena in the 43rd minute. However, Al-Fayha responded just before halftime thanks to Jason, assisted by Ahmed Bamsaud in stoppage time (45+4).
The match ultimately turned after a VAR intervention, which awarded Al-Ittihad a penalty for a handball in the box. En-Nesyri took responsibility and did not falter, scoring the 2-1 goal in the 68th minute.
With this second consecutive victory, Al-Ittihad brings its total to 14 points and occupies third place in the league, just one point behind Al-Hilal and Al-Qadsiah. Still unbeaten after six rounds, the Jeddah club confirms its positive momentum.
