The Moroccan midfielder Hanane Aït El Haj was named the best player of the match by the Technical Commission of the African Football Confederation (CAF) following Morocco’s victory over Kenya (4-0) on Sunday, during the first day of Group A of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Moroccan international delivered a high-quality performance throughout the match. Very active in midfield, she stood out for her technical precision, game vision, and impact in various phases of the game, significantly contributing to the control displayed by the Lionesses of the Atlas.
Thanks to this accomplished performance, Hanane Aït El Haj rightfully received the best player trophy, an award that acknowledges her crucial role in Morocco’s first victory in this edition of the Women’s AFCON.
