Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB) secured a 1-1 draw away against ASC Kara on Sunday in Lomé, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round. The Orange side were caught off guard in the 47th minute but managed to equalize through Oussama Mellioui in the 77th minute.
The return leg in Morocco will be decisive in securing qualification and continuing their African campaign. Backed by their experience in the CAF Confederation Cup and a squad that blends seasoned players with young talents, the Orange team aims to take a new step forward and reinforce their status on the continental stage.
If successful, RSB will face the winner of the clash between Benin’s Dadjè FC and the Libyan champions in the second round.
