Brahim Díaz once again showcased his crucial role at Real Madrid in their 3-0 away win over Real Oviedo in the second round of La Liga. The Moroccan international registered his first assist of the season.
Coming on in the 60th minute, Brahim needed only a few moments to make his mark on the game and reinforce Madrid’s dominance. His sharp vision and ability to create chances were evident right after his introduction, particularly in the 66th minute when he delivered a brilliant pass to Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde. Unfortunately, Valverde’s strike was superbly denied by Oviedo goalkeeper Aarón Escandell.
However, that was only the prelude to an even more decisive moment. In the third minute of stoppage time, Brahim Díaz delivered a brilliant assist. After a dazzling run, he set up Vinícius Júnior perfectly, who finished with a clinical low strike to score Madrid’s third and final goal, sealing the victory.
This match also featured another Moroccan player, but on the opposing side: Ilyas Chaira. He played 79 minutes before being substituted by Croatian winger Josip Brekalo.
