Bilal Nadir played his first official competitive minutes on Monday wearing the colors of Hamburg SV. The Moroccan midfielder contributed to HSV’s victory against SC Verl (3-0) in the first round of the German Cup.
Starting on the bench, the former Olympique de Marseille player came on in the 60th minute, replacing Albert Sambi Lokonga. Hamburg had already made the difference with a brace from Albert Grønbæk and a goal from Louis Lemke. No further goals were scored after the Moroccan’s appearance.
Having arrived on a free transfer this summer, Bilal Nadir officially begins his adventure in Germany. This first outing should help him continue his integration and gradually earn his place in HSV’s rotation.
The 22-year-old player now hopes to continue in the Bundesliga. Hamburg will visit Borussia Dortmund on August 29 for the opening day of the German championship.
