Ayyoub Bouaddi made his first appearance at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday during Manchester City’s victory over Coventry (1-0), in the third round of the Premier League. Starting on the bench, the Moroccan international came on in the 76th minute to replace Enzo Fernández.
The former Lille midfielder was introduced in a challenging end to the match, as Coventry sought to equalize. Positioned alongside Elliot Anderson, the 18-year-old player opted for simplicity in his passes and displayed a certain calm despite the pressure from the visitors.
Manchester City opened the scoring in the 26th minute thanks to Erling Haaland, who scored with a header from a cross by Antoine Semenyo. However, the Citizens were never able to extend their lead and had to rely on several interventions from Gianluigi Donnarumma to maintain their advantage until the final whistle.
After his successful debut on the pitch against Crystal Palace, Bouaddi thus marks his second appearance in his new colors. His playing time remains limited, but Enzo Maresca continues his gradual integration into a particularly competitive midfield.
