Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab has perfectly launched his season with Eintracht Frankfurt. Starting against SC St. Tönis, a fifth-division team, the Atlas Lion contributed to his team’s overwhelming success (0-11) this Friday in the round of 32 of the German Cup.
Positioned in the offensive sector, Amaimouni found the back of the net as early as the 17th minute. Assisted by Jonathan Burkardt, the 21-year-old scored Frankfurt’s third goal. He remained on the field until the 84th minute, before being replaced by Love Arrhov.
Eintracht was already leading 10-0 at halftime, establishing the largest halftime lead recorded in the history of the German Cup. Jonathan Burkardt completed a hat trick, while Can Uzun scored twice. Younes Ebnoutalib also made his mark with a goal and an assist.
Having arrived last January from Hoffenheim’s reserve team, Amaimouni is under contract with Frankfurt until June 2031. He scored in his Bundesliga debut and then joined the Moroccan national team, participating in the 2026 World Cup. Back with his club, the Atlas Lion thus opens his scoring account in the very first official match of the season.
