The mid-table clash between OGC Nice and Angers SCO, part of the 15th round of Ligue 1, ended in a crucial victory for the Angers team with a score of 0-1 at the Allianz Riviera. The hero of this match, and the man who turned the game around, was undoubtedly the young Moroccan midfielder, Yassin Belkhdim, who scored the only goal of the evening.
The breakthrough for SCO came in the 33rd minute thanks to Belkhdim. After a good ball recovery, the young Moroccan launched Carlens Arcus down the right flank. Arcus then combined in a one-two with Louis Mouton in the Nice penalty area, before crossing for Yassin Belkhdim, who, with a precise left-footed shot, redirected the ball into the hosts’ net. Beyond his goal, the Angers offensive midfielder, rated among the best players of the match, showed constant activity on the attack front, actively participating in pressing and establishing himself as a permanent threat to the opposing defense.
By securing a second consecutive away victory, Alexandre Dujeux’s men demonstrated their character and moved up to 11th place with a total of 19 points. For OGC Nice, however, this 0-1 defeat is a heavy blow, marking their seventh consecutive loss across all competitions. Sofiane Diop’s teammates are in 12th place with a total of 17 points.
Yassin Belkhdim played for 83 minutes before being replaced by Allevinah. His compatriot and teammate, Amine Sbai, also a starter, was substituted for Prosper (72′). On the other side, Sofiane Diop and Mohamed-Ali Cho, who started the match, played for 63 and 77 minutes respectively.
