Out of the World Cup due to a knee injury, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli will now focus on his recovery. According to information from Mundo Deportivo, the Moroccan international is set to leave the Lions of the Atlas camp on Monday to return to Spain, specifically to Elche, where he will spend a few days with his family.

The Real Betis winger will then head to France to start the first phase of his rehabilitation at a specialized center. This decision was reportedly made in agreement with the Andalusian club, aiming to allow the player to recover under the best conditions following his sprain to the medial collateral ligament of his right knee.

Injured before the start of the World Cup, Ez Abde was ultimately forced to withdraw from the competition, a significant blow for both the player and the Moroccan national team. The coaching staff had hoped to keep him in the squad for a time, but the latest medical examinations confirmed an unavailability that was incompatible with the continuation of the tournament.

Morocco thus loses one of its key offensive players, as the Lions of the Atlas continue their campaign without the Betis winger. For Ez Abde, the priority is now clear: to fully recover in order to return at his best level for the upcoming season.
