The Moroccan Olympic team (U23) won against Ittihad de Tanger with a score of 3-1 in a friendly match, showcasing several young talents.
This match against the Tangier club was scheduled after the cancellation of the friendly that was supposed to pit the Lionceaux de l’Atlas against Tanzania on Monday, October 5, in Tangier. This encounter was canceled due to internal issues concerning the Tanzanian selection. The Moroccan staff thus found a replacement solution to allow their group to continue their preparation program.
Against Ittihad de Tanger, the three goals for the Moroccan team were scored by Othmane Maamma, Ilias Boumassaoudi, and Reda Laalaoui.
Ilias Boumassaoudi also stood out during the match. The young Moroccan talent provided the assist for the opening goal, actively contributing to his team’s success.
This match allowed coach Jamel Aït Ben Idir and his staff to continue their work with this group and observe several players in match conditions.
The Moroccan U23s are thus continuing their preparation for their upcoming challenges, having also drawn against Mali (1-1) on October 1 in Rabat.
