Adam Aznou is getting closer to his first official minutes with Málaga CF. Gradually returning to team training after his injury, the Moroccan full-back could take advantage of the match against Espanyol on October 9 to make his debut with the Andalusian club.
The 20-year-old player resumed training with the group this week and is now participating in sessions at a good pace. This is encouraging progress for Juanfran Funes, who may need him as early as the next Liga match. Aznou has yet to play any official matches since joining Málaga.
His situation is becoming even more significant as José Salinas will be unavailable against Espanyol. Loaned from the Catalan club, the Spanish full-back cannot face his parent team due to a clause in his contract. Meanwhile, Rafita is currently with the Spanish U21 national team, and his return will come later in the preparation for the match.
These circumstances could therefore open a real opportunity for Adam Aznou on the left side. According to local press, the Moroccan appears to be a possible solution to start against Espanyol, provided he confirms his good physical progress during the upcoming training sessions.
The match is scheduled for Friday, October 9, at La Rosaleda. For Aznou, who arrived in Málaga with the ambition of getting playing time, this match could mark the true beginning of his adventure in Andalusia.
