Atlas Lions: Ouahbi has already used 24 players in two matches

Mohamed Ouahbi has taken advantage of the first two matches of the Lions of the Atlas to extensively rotate his squad. Against Gabon and then Lesotho, the Moroccan coach granted playing time to 24 different players, a clear sign of his intention to involve as many elements as possible from the start of this campaign.

The national coach has thus made numerous changes between the two matches, both in his starting eleven and during the game. This management has allowed him to observe several profiles in different contexts while maintaining strong competition within the group.

At this stage, only six players have not yet played a single minute: Munir El Kajoui, Alaa Bellaarouch, Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti, Marwane Saadane, Abdelhamid Halhal, and Othmane El Mourabet. The presence of three goalkeepers on this list partly explains this figure.

This significant rotation mainly shows that Ouahbi does not wish to rely on a limited group. From his first matches at the helm of the Lions of the Atlas, he chose to distribute minutes and give many players a chance while still achieving the expected results on the field.
