The Paris Saint-Germain has officially reacted to the judicial situation of Achraf Hakimi. In response to a request from Le Parisien following the decision made on Wednesday by the Court of Cassation, the Parisian club reaffirmed its support for the Moroccan international while recalling the principle of the presumption of innocence.
The PSG thus maintains the position it has held since the beginning of this affair. In a statement sent to the French daily, the club emphasizes that “Achraf Hakimi has always firmly contested the facts he is accused of” and reminds that its player “remains presumed innocent to this day.”
The capital club also specifies that it continues to support its defender in the ongoing proceedings. This official stance comes after the confirmation on Wednesday, September 23, of Hakimi’s referral to the departmental criminal court of Hauts-de-Seine.
This reaction from PSG constitutes a new element in the case, distinct from the statements made by the defense of the captain of the Atlas Lions. Hakimi continues to contest the accusations against him.
