The physical condition of Brahim Díaz continues to raise questions just two days before the match between Morocco and Gabon. Present at the Atlas Lions gathering, the Moroccan attacking midfielder has yet to resume training with his teammates.
Brahim Díaz has been held back during recent sessions due to muscle discomfort that he has been dealing with for several weeks. Up until Wednesday evening, no images broadcast by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation showed the player training with the group.
This situation comes as the Moroccan squad is now complete following the arrivals of Achraf Hakimi, Ismael Saibari, and Ilias Akhomach. The latter was recently called up as reinforcement by Mohamed Ouahbi.
Brahim Díaz’s participation in the match against Gabon, scheduled for Friday, September 25, therefore appears uncertain. However, no official withdrawal has been announced by the FRMF at this stage. The Moroccan staff may prioritize caution in order to fully recover the player for upcoming fixtures, particularly against Lesotho, and possibly for the friendly match against Ghana.
