The Lions of the Atlas began arriving on Monday, September 21, at the Mohammed VI football complex in Maâmora, where the new gathering of the national team is set to start. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation shared the first images of the arrival of the players called up by Mohamed Ouahbi.
Several internationals have gradually settled into the training center to begin preparations for Morocco’s upcoming matches. This gathering comes just days after Mohamed Ouahbi announced a list of 29 players, notably featuring several new faces.
The Lions of the Atlas are preparing for two matches in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, against Gabon and Lesotho, followed by a friendly match against Ghana. The initial training sessions will allow the staff to gradually bring the entire group together and prepare for this new international sequence.
