Soufiane Rahimi and his brother Houssine were the key players in Al Ain’s stunning victory over Al Nassr (4-0) on Tuesday, September 15, during the opening day of the Elite Asian Champions League. Against Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates, the two Moroccans had a direct impact on all of their team’s goals.
Starting at the forefront of the Emirati attack, Houssine Rahimi scored a brace. His brother Soufiane also found the back of the net and was decisive in Al Ain’s offensive build-up. Giorgos Giakoumakis added another goal for a team that was clearly superior to the Saudi club.
It was a particularly successful evening for the Rahimi brothers, who made life a nightmare for Al Nassr’s defense. Cristiano Ronaldo, who started the match, was unable to change the course of the game, as Al Ain launched their continental campaign with a resounding 4-0 victory.
