Brahim Díaz could have recorded a second memorable assist against Inter Milan. After Real Madrid’s victory (2-1) on Tuesday in the Champions League, Jude Bellingham apologized to the Moroccan international for not converting his superb work. Under a post on Instagram by Brahim, the English midfielder left a brief comment: “Sorry bro.”
The action took place in the 58th minute. After evading several opponents, Brahim delivered a delicately chipped ball to Bellingham in front of the goal. However, the Englishman chose to control it with his chest instead of heading it immediately. This hesitation allowed Josep Martínez to recover and block his attempt, denying the Moroccan another assist.
Asked after the match, Bellingham also acknowledged that he hesitated on the action, explaining that he misjudged the trajectory of the ball. The Madrid midfielder nonetheless praised the intervention of the opposing goalkeeper. This missed opportunity has been widely discussed, notably by talkSPORT, which highlighted Brahim’s sequence of play.
Already an assist provider in this match, the Lion of the Atlas confirmed his ability to destabilize the Milan defense. While this action will not appear in his statistics, it remains one of the most striking illustrations of his performance.
