Abdellah Ouazane continues to impress in the Netherlands. After Ajax’s victory against FC Sion (5-3) and qualification for the Conference League group stage, Rafael van der Vaart did not hide his admiration for the young Moroccan international.
“There are great talents, but he is truly exceptional,” said the former Dutch international on Ziggo Sport. Van der Vaart particularly highlighted the quality of Ouazane’s first touch, his ability to turn with the ball, and his capacity to perceive movements around him even before receiving the pass.
The former Ajax player also knows the 17-year-old attacking midfielder personally, as he played alongside his son Damián. He emphasized Ouazane’s upbringing and family environment, two elements that, according to him, should help the Moroccan stay grounded despite his rapid rise.
Also present on the set, Wim Kieft praised Ouazane’s technical skills, audacity, and ability to take on his opponents. The former Dutch striker believes that the young Ajax player has the necessary skills to operate in central areas, where spaces are tighter and decision-making time is shorter. This is another mark of recognition following his impressive performance against FC Sion.
