Crystal Palace has made no concrete offer for Neil El Aynaoui. While the English club has shown interest in the situation of the Moroccan international midfielder, it has so far limited itself to simply inquiring with AS Roma.
According to information published this Thursday by Il Messaggero, the Eagles have not followed up on this initial approach. This clarification also specifies that no Saudi club is currently positioned to acquire the player, contrary to some recent reports.
However, Roma remains open to considering El Aynaoui’s departure before the transfer window closes. The Moroccan does not seem to be among Gian Piero Gasperini’s first choices in the Roman midfield, which could open the door for a transfer if a satisfactory offer is made.
El Aynaoui, however, remains involved with the team. The former Lens player came on as a substitute on Monday during Roma’s comprehensive victory against Fiorentina (4-0). With just a few days left in the transfer market, his future remains uncertain, but no concrete negotiations have yet been initiated with Crystal Palace.
