Bilal El Khannouss is now on Newcastle’s radar. In search of an attacking reinforcement, the English club is considering the possibility of recruiting the Moroccan international from Stuttgart, while negotiations regarding Matias Fernandez-Pardo remain complicated.
The 22-year-old midfielder is seen by the Magpies as a genuine alternative to the Lille player. However, Newcastle has yet to submit any official offer to the German club, which is particularly demanding in this matter.
Initially inclined to spend another season at Stuttgart to compete in the Champions League, El Khannouss is now open to a return to the Premier League. The prospect of joining Newcastle and returning to a league he already knows would particularly appeal to the Moroccan.
However, Stuttgart does not intend to facilitate his departure. The German club recently rejected a €22 million proposal from Galatasaray and is reportedly asking for a higher amount. Newcastle will therefore need to make a significant financial effort if it decides to pursue its interest.
