The prospect of Azzedine Ounahi moving to PSV Eindhoven has significantly cooled. While Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday an official offer from the Dutch club to Girona, Jeroen Kapteijns, a journalist from De Telegraaf, claims that a transfer for the Moroccan international is currently not on the agenda.
The midfielder for the Atlas Lions had indeed been on PSV’s radar in the past. However, the arrivals of Kodai Sano and Sven Mijnans have since strengthened the midfield of the Dutch champions, who no longer consider this area a priority.
The Eindhoven management would now like to focus their efforts on recruiting offensive players, particularly on the wings. This version directly contradicts information from Spain, which had placed PSV in pole position regarding the Ounahi case.
As it stands, no official offer from PSV for the Girona player can be considered confirmed. With just a few days left before the transfer window closes, the future of the Moroccan midfielder remains to be monitored.
