The transfer of Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City is nearing its conclusion. According to information published Monday evening by The Guardian, the Moroccan international midfielder has undergone his medical examination with the Citizens, a necessary step for finalizing his arrival.
Manchester City and Lille have already reached an agreement on a fee of 95 million euros, which could be supplemented by an additional five million in bonuses. The 18-year-old player is expected to sign a five-season contract, with an additional year as an option. The personal terms of this agreement had been negotiated in advance with his entourage.
This deal would make Bouaddi the most significant sale in the history of LOSC, surpassing Nicolas Pépé, and also the most expensive Moroccan player of all time. He would also become, according to Sky Sports, the teenager acquired for the highest amount by a Premier League club.
Absent on Sunday during Lille’s victory against Angers (2-0), the Lion of the Atlas now seems to be waiting only for the completion of administrative formalities. As we write this, Manchester City and LOSC have not yet officially announced the transfer.
