The transfer of Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City is nearing its conclusion. This Thursday morning, Fabrizio Romano announced that a new round of negotiations is scheduled with Lille to finalize the deal. The two clubs are now reportedly in the final phase of discussions.
The 18-year-old Moroccan international is only waiting for the green light to travel to England and undergo his medical examination. However, no definitive agreement has been announced yet, and this final step still depends on the outcome of the exchanges between the two clubs.
On the contractual side, the groundwork has already been laid. Manchester City has reportedly reached an agreement with Bouaddi for a five-year commitment. Lille values their midfielder at around 100 million euros, with negotiations focusing on the payment structure and various bonuses. ESPN specified that the Citizens aim to finalize the deal this week, while Sky Sports has already confirmed the existence of a personal agreement.
If the final details are settled, Bouaddi will then be able to join Manchester, complete his medical examinations, and sign his contract. A deal close to 100 million euros would make him the most expensive Moroccan player in history and also set a new sales record for LOSC.
