The return of Abdessamad Ezzalzouli is becoming clearer. The Moroccan international worked again with his teammates this Tuesday at the Real Betis training center. Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, he should be called up to face Real Sociedad on Friday, August 21 at 9 PM, at La Cartuja, during the second matchday of La Liga.
The Moroccan winger is continuing his rehabilitation after the injury he sustained in June with the national team. He had already partially resumed collective training last week, but the Andalusian staff chose not to take any risks by leaving him out of the squad against Inter Milan last Saturday.
Abde now has several days to confirm his good progress before the match. Manuel Pellegrini generally prefers that players returning from injury complete a full week with the group before being called up. If his recovery continues normally, the Lion of the Atlas could therefore play his first official minutes of the season.
Héctor Bellerín, on the other hand, remains uncertain for this appointment. Injured in his right ankle against Inter, the full-back was forced to request his substitution. Young Óscar Masqué has been training with the first team to be ready in case of a withdrawal.
