Ayyoub Bouaddi participated this Saturday in the last preparatory match of LOSC, which ended in a draw against Everton (1-1) at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. As his transfer to Manchester City becomes more likely, the Moroccan international started the match on the bench before coming on at halftime.
Trailing since the 41st minute after a penalty converted by Iliman Ndiaye, the Dogues showed a better face in the second half. Bouaddi, who replaced Nabil Bentaleb in the 46th minute, was active in midfield and contributed to the control regained by his team. The Moroccan also tried to pose a threat by pushing forward.
After struggling against the English defense for a long time, Lille was finally rewarded in stoppage time. Hakon Haraldsson equalized with a powerful close-range shot from a cross by Marius Broholm Edjouma in the 90+2 minute. The LOSC thus finishes its preparation with a positive result ahead of the resumption of Ligue 1.
This appearance could, however, be one of Bouaddi’s last in Lille colors. According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations with Manchester City have entered their final phase. The 18-year-old midfielder has reportedly already given his agreement to the English club, but both teams still need to settle the final details before a possible official announcement.
